An Immersive Platform Transforming Career Exploration for Young Learners
Chicago, IL — Junior Achievement (JA) of Chicago is excited to unveil JAC Metaversity, an innovative educational platform designed to revolutionize career exploration and life skills development for young learners. Made possible by a generous $50,000 grant from NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation, JAC Metaversity combines the power of metaverse and gaming technologies to provide young learners with essential life skills in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship through an engaging, digital environment.

JAC Metaversity is an immersive educational experience designed for students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Using advanced gaming technology, the platform demystifies complex financial concepts, making them accessible and enjoyable. Through interactive simulations, students explore a range of careers, develop practical skills, and gain an understanding of financial literacy, all within a dynamic and fun digital environment.

The secure, interactive world of JAC Metaversity offers students early exposure to diverse career options, encouraging exploration of potential roles and engagement with inspiring mentors. This exposure helps foster early career aspirations and encourages students to broaden their horizons, while developing critical thinking skills and confidence in their future potential.

With an anticipated reach of up to 10,000 students through JAC Metaversity, JA of Chicago is poised to make a significant impact. This initiative builds on decades of collaboration between JA of Chicago, NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation, who have worked together to enhance educational opportunities and promote financial literacy across the region. Through this new partnership, JA of Chicago, NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation are dedicated to preparing young learners for success in an increasingly complex and digital world, equipping them with the tools and mindset to thrive in their academic and career pursuits.
